My name is Joseph “Joe” Reinhardt, Owner and CEO of Carolina Limousine & Coach.
When Gillian and I started Carolina Limousine & Coach in 2007, we had one limousine, a young family, and a simple belief: if you take care of people, they will take care of you. Nearly two decades later, that belief still guides every decision we make.
I grew up in Syracuse, New York, and moved to the South Carolina coast in 2001. As a former athlete who spent years working in corporate America, I was always fascinated by what made some organizations successful while others struggled. I came to believe that the difference usually wasn’t a product, a building, or a business plan- it was people.
That became the foundation for Carolina Limousine & Coach and the philosophy we still live by today:
People Taking Care of People.
Our story began with the purchase of our first limousine in 2007. I originally thought it would be a fun weekend business that could provide a little extra income for Gillian and me while we raised our daughter, Alexis. I certainly didn’t envision what it would eventually become.
By 2010, our family had grown with the arrival of our youngest daughter, Sophia, and our business was growing just as quickly. That same year, Gillian and I made one of the biggest decisions of our lives to leave our full-time careers and commit ourselves completely to Carolina Limousine & Coach.
What followed were years of hard work, calculated risks, great employees, loyal customers, and a relentless commitment to doing what we said we would do.
Today, Carolina Limousine & Coach has grown from one limousine into one of the Southeast’s largest full-service chauffeured transportation companies, with one of the newest and most diverse fleets in the region.
Our growth has also created what we call our Triangle of Excellence: strategically located operations in Myrtle Beach, Columbia, and Charleston. These three locations allow us to provide exceptional coverage throughout South Carolina and the Southeast while maintaining the local service, accountability, and personal attention upon which our company was built.
Our strategy has always been straightforward: invest in great people, invest in exceptional equipment, take care of our customers, and never stop improving.
That approach has earned Carolina Limousine & Coach a place on the Inc. 5000 List three times, recognizing America’s fastest-growing private companies, along with being named one of South Carolina’s 50 Fastest Growing Companies in 2025 and 2026. Most recently, we were named one of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Top 100 Small Businesses in America.
Those honors are exciting, but to me, they represent something much bigger. They reflect the people who come to work every day determined to take care of our customers and each other.
Because despite our growth, our business has never really been about vehicles.
It’s about the people inside them.
Whether we’re transporting a family to the airport, a bride on her wedding day, a university athletic team to its next game, employees to work, or hundreds of guests for a major event, we understand that someone has placed their trust in us. We take that responsibility seriously.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of serving universities, corporations, athletic programs, entertainers, business leaders, families, organizations, and major events throughout the Southeast. We’ve transported everyone from children attending their first special event to some of the most recognizable people in the country.
But perhaps the greatest compliment we’ve ever received is simply having customers come back.
We’ve watched families grow alongside our company. We’ve had parents trust us with their children for prom, then years later call us to provide transportation for those same children’s weddings. We’ve served companies that began with a single reservation and eventually entrusted us with transportation programs involving thousands of passengers.
Those relationships are what success looks like to us.
Carolina Limousine & Coach remains a family-owned company, and our family continues to be deeply involved in the business. Gillian serves as our Chief Cultural Officer, helping protect the culture and values upon which we built the company. Our daughters have grown up alongside CLC and have seen firsthand the commitment required to build something that lasts.
As we have grown, our core responsibility has never changed: to look after the people who depend on us. This requires safeguarding our passengers, employees, and trusted partners; maintaining our fleet to the highest standards; delivering on our promises; and remembering that every reservation—whether for one passenger or hundreds—represents an individual who has placed their trust in our hands.

Today, with our Triangle of Excellence connecting Myrtle Beach, Columbia, and Charleston, we’re incredibly proud of what Carolina Limousine & Coach has become. But we’re even more excited about where we’re going.
